Ballytober Primary School, Bushmills

About Ballytober

There has been a school at Ballytober for many years. The first school was opened in 1818 and was located at the end of the Ballytober Road. It had two classrooms which were divided by a wooden partition, each heated with a coal stove.

The present school building was opened in September 1962 with 45 pupils. Our new extension was erected in time for the building's 50th birthday when the original 45 pupils were invited to witness the opening of our newly refurbished facilities. The school presently has 78 pupils.

Facilities – 4 classrooms, multi-purpose hall, ICT suite and Accelerated Reading library

Outside – Large playing field, polytunnel, mud kitchen, climbing frames and play equipment
